Lorraine Kelly has claimed if Prince Andrew was at Pizza Express in Woking on the night in which allegations had been made against him, people from the restaurant should remember and say something.

Prince Andrew denied alleged sexual assault claims in an interview in 2019, stating he could not have sexually assaulted then-teenager Virginia Giuffre Roberts because he'd been dining at Pizza Express on the night in question.

While speaking to royal editor Russell Myers on ITV’s Lorraine, the 61-year-old host, said: "The whole thing about Pizza Express in Woking – I just wonder, wouldn't you have thought that maybe the waiter serving them or people in there – you would say it wouldn't you?

"'I saw Prince Andrew in Pizza Express', I mean it's quite an unusual thing."

Russell responded: "Yeah, very much so and I think that we are expecting more people, or you would have expected more people to potentially come out and say 'I did see Prince Andrew in Pizza Express.

"He said himself it was a very strange thing for him to do."

"Certainly there will be a lot of people both sides of the Atlantic and around the world waiting to see what does happen."

Viewer Jaymill took to Twitter and commented: "Lorraine’s shady appeal asking for those who were at Pizza Express @reallorraine @lorraine #Lorraine."

Joe Bloggs Jnr said: "You'd think more people would've noticed Prince Andrew in a crowded nightclub #lorraine."

Another added: "Day has started normally. Lorraine on my TV insistent that you’d remember if you’d seen Prince Andrew in Pizza Express, I think she’s right. I saw Tony Wilson in Croma. Still remember that."

WokeTeeNoodles replied to the comment to agree, stating: "I saw Victoria Beckham in Hamleys about 24 years ago. Well, the back of her head and the crowd around her, but still…"

They added: "And they're relative unknowns compared to a frickin prince of England. People would remember."

Prince Andrew has strongly denied claims made against him.

During the interview in 2019, he said: "I was with the children and I’d taken Beatrice to a Pizza Express in Woking for a party at I suppose four or five in the afternoon."

Virginia was a victim of Jeffrey Epstein, and the Duke of York has come under fire for reportedly having close connections to the convicted sex offender.

The case brought against Prince Andrew is a civil case and he has continued to deny all claims.
