Love Island star Yewande Biala reckons her latest project will hit the spot with fans… it’s a documentary about orgasms.
The 28-year-old spent weeks investigating the topic for the one-off special. And now she’s hoping it will help break the taboo around women having pleasure in the bedroom.
She told the Daily Star Sunday: “When sex is talked about on TV, it’s always erotic. It’s never taken seriously. But I want everyone to have a proper conversation about it.

“This documentary feels like the first step towards sex being taken seriously.”
One in eight women have never had an orgasm – and Yewande is among them. She wants to reassure others like her that they’re not alone. She added: “I want them to know they’re not the only ones.
"It’s about dismantling all the negative stereotypes we have when it comes to pleasure and orgasms.”
Yewande went all out to learn about the topic for the show, interviewing a range of women, as well as scientists and therapists.

One of her scariest assignments was to go to a sex shop on London’s busy Oxford Street, which was new territory for her – and terrifying. She said: “Everyone was looking at me and I’m sure they were wondering why I was going into that kind of shop at 10am.
“I felt like everybody was staring at me. I was so embarrassed. But the minute I got inside, I thought, ‘It’s not actually that bad’. I didn’t die, I got over it, and it was actually fun to film.”
Yewande was brought up in a strict Catholic household in Dublin.
Her family saw her have fun in the Love Island villa, but making a documentary about orgasms was even racier, so she was nervous about telling them.
She said: “My family don’t speak about sex. I kept putting off telling my mum that I was doing this show.
“I was so frightened about what her response was going to be. I eventually gave her a quick overview, but I didn’t tell her the full ins and outs about it. And funnily enough, she said, ‘OK, this is good’.”
Yewande is now crossing her fingers that her venture will pay off. She said: “I think this show will shock people, but I hope it’s a good shock and a positive one. I hope it’s thought-provoking.”
Secrets Of The Female Orgasm is on Thursday at 10pm on Channel 4.
