Love Island's Adam Collard confirms police probe into Ferne McCann NTAs row and reveals entire incident was caught on CCTV

In the post he revealed authorities at the O2 Arena had called the police with the incident being captured on CCTV.

In the note, which Adam posted on Instagram, he wrote: “I’ve no other option but to post this.
"There's been various speculative stories at this time about an incident that happened at the NTAs on Tuesday. Would like to clarify my position.
"There was an incident involving myself, Zara [McDermott] and another. The O2 contacted police.
"I've been advised not to comment by the authorities who I have full confidence in to investigate and prosecute if necessary.

"The whole situation was caught on CCTV and will be there for all to see and make their own judgment.
"I'm fine and I'm supporting Zara through this unnecessary situation."
On Tuesday evening at the NTAs, the alleged argument kicked off when Adam heard Ferne talking about his girlfriend Zara.
The row escalated when mum-of-one Ferne, 28, appeared to push the plastic cup towards the face of the Geordie personal trainer.

Ferne was later questioned by police, who said she was not arrested at the scene but that “enquiries continue."
The row is believed to have started after Ferne, who has a baby with convicted acid attacker Arthur Collins, told fellow reality stars not to mingle with Adam, 22, or his girlfriend Zara McDermott, 22.
When Adam heard Ferne make the comments he told her: “You’re a mum, stop bullying Zara.”

He then later called her a “pathetic little s**g” after she had hurled the drink in his face.

An eyewitness said: “It all kicked off massively outside the official after-party.

“But things really escalated last night when Adam heard Ferne slagging off Zara.

"He said some things he regrets but did not expect under any circumstances to have a drink thrown in his face then have it smashed against him.”

A police spokeswoman said: “An allegation of common assault was made to police by a man, aged in his 20s, following an incident with a woman, also aged in her 20s, at the O2 Arena on Tuesday, 22 January.

“No one was injured during the incident. There has been no arrest. Enquiries continue.”

A spokesman for Adam confirmed that he had made a formal complaint to police.

A source close to Ferne insisted that she was acting in "self-defence" and actually was trying to "make peace" with the 6ft4 star.
