Love Island's Caroline Flack reveals she knew she'd met her Mr Right in Andrew Brady on second day of relationship

The Love Island host recently found love with the former Apprentice candidate and agreed to marry him following a whirlwind three-month relationship.

Now, in her first newspaper interview since getting engaged, Caroline has opened up about when it clicked the reality TV Star was The One (aka definitely her type on paper).

Caroline told us: “It was pretty instant. I think it was the second day we met! It sounds really weird and at the time I thought, ‘No, don’t be silly brain. Go back in your shell' but when I look back on it that feeling hasn’t changed.”

Loved-up Caroline also gave Andrew – who finished sixth on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year – her full support, after his ex-girlfriend Rachael Rhodes ‘warned’ her off him in The Sun on Sunday last week.

Flashing an impressive sparkly diamond ring the TV presenter added: "Other people’s opinions aren’t our reality.

"Life is really good. This time last year I was in a completely different position. It just goes to show, you never know what's around the corner.

"I've always thought like that. I do this job because I live life a bit up and down and I'm never on a straight line.

"Now I've gone a bit more traditional – who would have thought it?

"You just get that instant thing with someone and when you're not in love you forget what that feeling is like.

"As soon as you fall in love again, that beautiful feeling comes back and you go, 'Uh-oh, here we are again!' That little heart flutter".

Caroline's professional life is riding higher than ever before, As well as becoming a clothing designer for River Island, the phenomenon that has become Love Island also scooped a coveted TV Bafta last weekend.

And now set to return for a fourth series this summer, as well as the return of her own spin-off show AfterSun, Caroline has hinted that producers are set to focus more on the romance between the contestants rather what happens under the sheets.

She added: “A twitchy toe is just fine. I don’t think that’s what people tune back in for. If you want to see humping then there are channels for that.

"If you tune into Love Island – you’re only going to see some duvet and toe action. You can't fake being in love and that's what people buy into.”

After a record 2.43 million tuned into the show's finale last year – which saw Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies crowned winners – Caroline admits expectations are high for the new crop of singletons.

And she also defended claims that she had criticised the Love Island contestants for plugging teeth whitening products.

"I like how Camilla Thurlow has used her platform for good, but I’m proud of all our Islanders. There's nothing wrong with making some money however you like as it shows ingenuity.

"The pressure is on and everyone is expecting big things but that's not a bad. Let's take that pressure and use it.

"Hopefully now people see it's so much more than just people in bikinis getting with each other. I'm a viewer first and presenter second – last year I cried watching Camilla getting dumped by Jonny Mitchell.

"You can never top it but you have just got to recreate that magic and you do that by getting a good cast. Love is unexpected at the best of times and we never know what's going to happen."

One thing if for certain – Caroline has found her winning pairing.
