LOVE Island star Ellie Brown has been left heartbroken and shocked following the sudden death of her grandfather.

The 23-year-old revealed her ‘granda’ had passed away at the age of 67 after catching Covid, despite being ‘healthy’.

Sharing a picture of her cuddled up with him, she wrote: “Granda, you were only 67 and healthy. I am in so much shock. Covid is scary and unexpected. I am so sorry. Love you forever.”

She shared a post from her mum, whose dad he was, and added:  “The most hurt for you mum, can’t even imagine losing one of my parents, never mind two and I hate that you’re feeling that right now. Everybody is way too young.”

Ellie has spent Christmas on a skiing holiday in France, where she has been posting pictures for her fans.

She shot to fame starring on Love Island 2019 where she got together with millionaire Charlie Brake.
