Married At First Sight’s Michael bulks up in dramatic fitness transformation

Married at First Sight star Michael Brunelli has taken to social media to share his body transformation which has boosted his spirit as well as his health.

The Aussie hunk who became known after appearing on the 2019 edition of Married At First Sight hoping to find the love of his life has revealed that turning his back on his former fitness regime and diet has seen him say goodbye to his abs.

Michael, 30, has documented his transformation for all to see on social media as well as recalling the mental and physical toll his lifestyle took on him.

The fitness fanatic posed for a before and after picture, showing his sensational transformation as he detailed that while he had ripped abs, looks were quite deceiving.

His before picture sees the reality star posing in a pair of Hugo Boss boxers, while his washboard abs are on full display, his sculpted pecs are tensed for the snap while his biceps rest by his side.

However, in his most recent snap, Michael looks completely different, having waved goodbye to his abs but instead shares a fuller figure while still remaining extremely muscular.

Captioning his post, the Melbourne-native said: "Just a reminder that lean doesn’t always mean healthy…

"In the photo on the left, I was at the leanest I've ever been.⁣⁣ My body fat % was low, I had visible abs and was still a decent shape.⁣⁣

"Was I healthy? F*ck no.⁣⁣"

⁣⁣He went on to add: "I was mentally fried from reality tv, I'd lost 5kg of muscle/fat in 3 months, I was severely stressed, I was anxious, I broke out with acne, my blood pressure was high, my diet was horrible and I had no next to no energy.⁣⁣

"In the photo on the right I don't have visible abs, my body fat percentage is higher, I'm less defined, I look softer, My blood pressure is normal, my diet is balanced and I am healthy… mentally and physically.⁣⁣"

His post went on to say: "So if you're not considered 'skinny' or 'lean' or 'toned' it doesn't instantly mean you're unhealthy.⁣⁣
