Big Brother made its highly anticipated return on Sunday night, as 16 brand new housemates made their way into the iconic house for the first time.
The pre-recorded show aired on Sunday, 8 October, and all of the new cast arrived one by one before meeting new hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best.
They then made their way into the house to meet the people they will be living with for the coming weeks, and one of those who made their way in was 24 year old Matty.
Matty is a doctor from the Isle of Man, and the reason he is doing the new ITV show is because he wants to "experience everything" before he dies.
What made you apply to be a Big Brother Housemate?
I want to experience everything before I die, and I just thought why not do something mad like this? I used to watch Big Brother when I was like, 9 or 10 past my bedtime with my mom. I grew up in such a small place on the Isle of Man where I didn't really see many people who felt like me. I remember watching Big Brother and I could see myself in all these characters from a cross-section of society, and I thought like, oh, maybe I would fit in there. So I just always wanted to apply.
What part of the experience are you most looking forward to?
Having lots of fun, dancing lots and meeting all the other housemates.
How would your friends and family describe you?
They would say I'm quite like a lucky person or someone who really wants to experience life to its fullest and do everything that it has to offer. Someone who is kind and fun and doesn't take life too seriously.
What are you most likely to get nominated for?
Probably keeping the alarm on in the morning when I just won't get out of bed.
What would you do with the prize money if you won?
Just have fun with it. It probably wouldn't last too long.
Tell us an interesting fact about yourself…
I'm also a massage therapist as well as a doctor.
Who would be your dream celebrity to live with?
I would love to live with Freddie Mercury – if he was alive. I think he’d be really interesting.
