Mel B was left fuming on today’s Good Morning Britain just moments after opening up about her "coercive" and "abusive" relationship with Stephen Belafonte.
The Spice Girl, who has revealed all in new autobiography ‘Brutally Honest’, spoke about being a victim of "domestic violence, mental abuse and almost torture".
After pouring her heart out, she was livid when her ex-husband was given a "platform" to deny her accusations.
Mel was raging after Susanna Reid was ‘forced’ to read out Stephen’s right of reply at the end of the interview.
The presenter said: "We have to read a right of reply. Mr Belafonte has told us that there is new litigation planned. He will be answering the allegations in full, which he denies."
While the statement was being read out, Mel could be heard protesting against the right of reply.
She shouted: "Oh god. I don’t want to hear that."
Furious Mel then slapped Susanna on the shoulder, while Piers gave her autobiography a plug.
Afterwards, Mel added: "You shouldn’t do the right of reply. You shouldn’t give him the platform."
Trying to calm her down, Piers said: "Well when he replies you can reply again."
Still fighting back, Mel replied: "No, why would I? Why would I get into a spat like that?"
Piers admitted that he didn’t want the statement to be read out bu they were obliged to.
Piers said: "Unfortunately we have to do that whether we wanted to or not. I didn’t want to.
"I’m team Mel. Team Scary. You’re not so scary after all are you."
The singer, who filed for divorce with Stephen in March 2017, wants to address how difficult her 10 year marriage was in order to get closure.
On finding love again, she said: "I’m still abused and a little bit damaged. I’m damaged goods."
Speaking about the reason behind her new book, she said: "I had an unfortunate 10 year marriage in a coercive, abusive relationship. It’s something we don’t talk about, a taboo.
"I wanted to address all these difficult situations I’ve been in living such a life for 10 years. I wanted to own it and take back my power."
