Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) could be set to experience heartbreak this festive season in Hollyoaks, as Nancy (Jessica Fox) grows closer to Beau Ramsey (Jon-Paul Bell).

Beau has made quite the impression on a number of residents since rocking up in the eponymous village, and he and Nancy hit it off when they competed in the charity bike ride together.

With the school understaffed in the wake of Olivia Bradshaw (Emily Burnett) being fired, Nancy was quick to encourage Beau to apply for a job as the new PE teacher.

He ultimately aced the interview and thus lands the position, as upcoming scenes will see the newcomer embark on his first day at the high school.

Nancy and Sally St Claire (Annie Wallace), however, have their hands full with the governors paying them a visit, and there is more upset on the cards, as Sally later tells Beau that they’ll have to axe the teacher’s party, given that the venue had to cancel.

But Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) comes to the rescue, suggesting that they host the event at The Dog. Beau, meanwhile, offers his services as the decorator.

Things go swimmingly. Darren, however, begins to grow jealous of just how much time Nancy is spending in charming Beau’s company.

What’s more, Beau proves to be popular with the crowd, as he starts to dance with everyone in attendance, much to Darren’s dismay.

The question is: does Darren have anything to worry about where Beau and Nancy are concerned?

Is Nancy and Beau’s relationship purely platonic? Or will sparks fly?

Only time will tell.
