CHANNEL 5 viewers are set for a walk down Memory Lane tonight by revealing behind-the-scenes stories of Only Fools and Horses.
Fanatics of the show will remember Alan Parry – portrayed by Denis Lill – who was Rodney Trotter’s father-in-law and Cassandra’s father.
The New Zealand-born British actor featured in many of the episodes in the sixth and seventh series onwards, including several Only Fools and Horses Christmas specials.
Denis, now aged 79, served in the Royal New Zealand Air Force before cementing himself in Only Fools history.
In the BBC sitcom, Alan was the owner of a successful print firm that employed Rodney for a time from 1989 to 1991, later becoming a friend of Derek 'Del Boy' Trotter.
Despite being a successful businessman by the time he met Del, Alan was still a Cockney wideboy at heart.
He was often seen getting drunk or being sick after eating too many jellied eels while under Del’s influence, much the chagrin of his overtly middle class wife, Pam.
Outside of Only Fools, Denis is best known for his roles in Survivors, Outside Edge and ITV medical drama The Royal.
He has appeared in TV fan favourites such as Blackadder, Doctor Who, Survivors, Rumpole of the Bailey and The Royal.
As of right now, the actor looks entirely different to when he did during his time on Only Fools and Horses, however, he still sports his iconic moustache.
Denis isn't the only Only Fools star to look unrecognisable since appearing on the show, with Denzil Tulser, Mickey Pearce, Damien Trotter and Raquel Turner all looking significantly different since, too.
The nation's favourite sitcom celebrated its 40th anniversary in September of this year.

The show about wheeler-dealer market traders the Trotters and their pals in Peckham was first broadcast on September 8, 1981, and ran for 64 episodes until 2003.
During its long run it attracted fans from all walks of life including the Royal Family.
Interestingly, the show still holds the record for the most-watched comedy ever after 24.3m people tuned in to watch stars Del and Rodney finally become millionaires.
