Outnumbered stars now – co-star romance, career U-turn and selling used bras

It's been eight years since Outnumbered departed our screens and the Brockman family flew the nest.

The hit BBC comedy show ran for seven years between 2007-2014 and in that time became one of the most iconic sitcoms ever made thanks to the talent of both its adult and child stars.

Much of its success was attributed to the natural flow of the largely unscripted scenes from the younger stars, who instead of learning lines like their adult co-stars were given last-minute on set instructions by the production staff, improvising many of their hilarious interactions.

Now as Tyger Drew-Honey – best known as loveable Jake Brockman – turns 26 we take a look at where the cast are now.

Tyger Drew-Honey

The son of adult movie acting icons Ben Dover and Linzi Drew, Tyger played the eldest of the Brockman clan, Jake, and was just 11 years old when he first appeared on the show.

Since the series drew to a close when he was 18 he has secured a number of film and TV roles and recorded over 200 voiceovers including for big-name businesses Dell and Red Bull.

He has appeared on a string of reality shows including Celebs Go Dating in 2016 and Celebrity Masterchef in 2017.

Tyger also fronted his own BBC Three documentary series where he discussed pornography, body image, love, sexuality and sexism.

During the run of episodes, he admitted to feeling that he was bisexual to some extent and did not sit on a sexuality spectrum where he is entirely straight.

He has also appeared in hit TV shows including Citizen Khan, Doctors and Death In Paradise and was most recently attached to an upcoming movie adaptation of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream in the role of Demetrius.

Hugh Dennis and Claire Skinner

The Brockman family couldn't have existed without mum and dad aka Pete and Sue. Played by Hugh Dennis and Claire skinner both were already well-established stars when they embarked upon their journey at the centre of family life.

The pair have continued to act in a series of big-name roles since the end of the hit comedy, but the biggest news is that they are now a couple in real life.

They began dating in 2017 after they both split from their previous partners.

Speaking about their romance in 2018 Hugh said: "I am very, very happy, we are so very happy. It's nice and yes, it's so lovely."

A friend of the couple also told The Metro: "They are very much in love and have been for the last year. It's the most wonderful love story, they found one another at the right time in their lives and it's all rather sweet."

Ben – Daniel Roche

Ben actor Daniel Roche is now 22 years old and looks totally different to his time on the show. He was just eight years old when he first appeared on Outnumbered.

After the end of the series, he went on to appear in a string of roles including playing a young Stephen Fry in Sky comedy Little Crackers

Daniel was also nominated for a Children's Bafta for his role in the BBC adaptation of Just William.

Since then he has studied for a degree at London's Kings College where he played rugby and has now embarked on a different road to acting by taking on a semi-professional career in the sport.

Karen – Ramona Marquez

Ramona is now just 20 years old and studies Spanish and Mandarin at the University of Manchester.

The adorable youngster was six years old when she first appeared on our screens.

Since the show ended she has appeared in further big-name acting roles including parts in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, The King's Speech and A Louder Silence.

In 2020 she opened up about being bisesexual in Florence Given's book Women Don't Owe You Pretty.

The star was also revealed to be selling her bras for just £4 on clothing website Depop, as well as her old jumpers, skirts and dresses.

This may be to fund her lifestyle at university while she takes a break from acting, as she is currently studying at the University of Manchester.
