PETER Andre today told fans that he and ex-wife Katie Price are "friends" as they teamed up on their son Junior's 15th birthday.

The singer, 47, and reality star, 42, shared a sweet exchange on her Instagram page after Katie said they had "done a good job" raising their eldest child.

Peter replied to her message in the comments section, writing: "?????? He’s a good boy. I’m so so proud."

A fan then told Peter: "This is lovely commenting on each others status – lovely to see ❤️."

He quickly replied: "We’re friends and she’s mummy so of course."

Peter also paid a lengthy tribute to Junior on Instagram today with a montage of pictures of the lad.

He wrote: "Son, words cannot explain how much love there is for you. I am proud of you for the kind, loving, funny, caring son you are.

"You are my son, yes but I also have a best friend in you. I know you’re gonna say I’m wet BUT, accept the fact that we all love you so much. Especially me ?.

"HAPPY 15th BIRTHDAY. I have some great surprises this morning so when you finally get your a#%#e out of bed you’ll see."

Mocking his 'Surrey gangsta' vibe, Pete added: "Big up mandem. Ting Ting. Man like junior. Init fam! #gforgreeknotgangsta ??."

Junior replied: "Thanks re. Love u ✊?❤️????‍♂️."

Katie also posted an emotional tribute to her son alongside the picture of her kissing him on the cheek.

She wrote: "Happy 15th birthday to my mini me in many ways and so proud of the young man he is turning out to be his dad and me have done a good job ? excited for today when he comes home for a surprise ❤️❤️."

Other people wishing Junior a happy birthday on the picture included another of Katie's exes, Kieran Hayler.

He wrote: "Happy 15th birthday @officialjunior_andre mature, kind and one of a kind??❤️ have a good day bud."

They met during the 2004 series of I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here and got married in 2005, when Junior was three months old.

They divorced four years later, with Peter later tying the knot with Emily MacDonagh, who is now mother to his two other children, Theo and Amelia.
