Piers Morgan returns to his incredible East Sussex mansion and shows off huge garden after lockdown restrictions lift

PIERS Morgan has left London after coronavirus restrictions lifted and headed to his country pad with its vast garden and swimming pool for some peace and quiet.

The broadcaster – who has an estimated fortune of £14.4 million – escaped to his sprawling home in the East Sussex village of Newick, where he grew up.

Said to be worth in the region of £700,000 the house is equipped with swimming pool and set in acres of landscaped gardens.

Piers seemed like he couldn't wait to be back at his country pile which he shares with wife Celia Walden, their daughter, and Piers' three sons to his previous marriage.

Sharing a video of the garden's lush vegetation with his followers on Instagram, he captioned it: "Chill" and tagged its location.

The TV star, 56, seems to have been craving the peace and quiet after being the centre of a media storm.

He sent shockwaves when he walked out of Good Morning Britain after refusing to apologise to Meghan Markle for saying he didn't believe a word she said on Oprah.

His brief video showed the beautiful garden with its lush vegetation guarded by sweeping trees.

When lockdown restrictions were eased, Piers popped to a designer hair studio in Kensington, London, for a £125 hair cut.

He then headed off to his country retreat and wasted no time grabbing a pint at his local The Royal Oak.

The 56-year-old grinned from ear to ear as he posed outside the pub clutching a pint of his favourite, Harvey's.

It's the first time he's been seen at the pub since last summer, when he visited with brothers Rupert and Jeremy.

Piers recently named Sarah Ferguson as one of the royals who reached out to support him amid the Meghan Markle row.

In his column for the Mail on Sunday, he wrote: "Not all Royal duchesses were as thrilled as Meghan 'Pinocchio' Markle to see me leave GMB.

"People have said how much they miss your morning joy and humour,' texted Sarah, Duchess of York, 'get back out there!'"
