Starz drama Power came to an end at the weekend as the first chapter of the show was closed. However, this is only the beginning for the franchise after the US network unveiled a raft of new spin-off series. There will be a total of four new shows or “books”, one of which will be Power Book III: Raising Kanan.
After the Power series finale, fans were gifted with an end credits scene set in 1996.
The extra scene feared young versions of James “Ghost” St Patrick (played by Chris Sumpter), Tommy Egan (Ethan Cutkowsky) and Angela Valdes (Camila Perez).
The young versions of the Power characters also made reference to Kanan Stark (Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson).
Fans are now wondering about the mysterious Breeze, who was mentioned in Power.

Will Breeze be in Power Book 3 Raising Kanan?
Although Breeze was name-dropped in Power, he was never seen on screen.
The only details about Breeze were he was a drug kingpin before the events of Power.
He worked with Ghost (Omari Hardwick), Tommy (Joseph Sikora) and Kanan as part of his drug-dealing business.
However, Ghost executed Breeze while he was watching TV and took over his territory.
Interestingly Kanan later tried to kill Tariq St Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr) in the same way Breeze had been murdered, down to the same place as the original assassination.
But Kanan didn’t complete the killing on Tariq and instead bonded with the teen.
There were also lots of theories about the identity of Breeze.
Some fans thought Breeze was the father of Ghost after he shared details with Tariq about the former drug lord in season six.

Ghost told his son in the midseason finale: “I didn’t want to kill Breeze. I loved Breeze.
“I was your age when I killed him. I killed Breeze because he got in the way of my future.
“What Kanan didn’t know, what Kanan couldn’t tell you is I gave Breeze one more chance.
“I asked him to change his mind he didn’t… he forced my hand.”

These words were very telling and there’s clearly more story to be told here.
Raising Kanan will look at how the major characters of Power became who they were and fell into the New York drug trade.
Given the timeline, it’s highly likely Breeze and the mystery behind the character will finally be explored.
Just how this will be done remains to be seen but Breeze is integral to the story of Ghost, Tommy and Kanan and the men they grew up to be.
Power fans are likely to get some satisfaction when Breeze’s identity is finally revealed because the character has been a spectre in the background of the show from the start.
