Prince Harry mocked by Oprah fans for ‘moaning’ about losing state security

Prince Harry has annoyed viewers of his tell-all chat with Oprah Winfrey after moaning he had his state funded security taken away from him after stepped back as a working royal.

Harry explained to Oprah: "I never thought I would have had my security removed.

"That was a shock to me. That was what changed the whole plan."

Meghan Markle added: "I even wrote letters to his family.

"I said please keep my husband safe… they said it is just not possible."

As the comments went out, viewers took to Twitter to give their take.

One fan wrote: "Why should the UK provide security to Meghan and Harry once they chose to permanently move to Canada?

"They chose to not be working royals so there’s a consequence of it #HarryandMeghanonOprah."

Another added: "You CANNOT be part time Royals cherry picking your work from abroad and therefore the security covered by the tax payer had to be removed #HarryandMeghanonOprah."

A third continued: "Haha #HarryandMeghanonOprah the moron moaning about not having the tax payers money, but not carrying out royal duties what a melt."

A fourth chimed in: "You leave a job you lose the benefits.

"I left a well paid job in corporate world and lost private health care.

"Harry and Meghan leave the royal family and lose security. Therefore to get that benefit .. pay for it. Simple isn’t it! #CakeAndEatIt."

A fifth raged: "Removed their UK security. Yes, because why should hard working tax payers pay for you. Why?!

"Why should we do that when you’ve decided to step back. Why doesn’t Oprah ask that kinda question?"

However, others were more sympathetic, arguing that Harry should have never been left without state funded protection.

Harry added: "My family literally cut me off financially and I had to afford security for us in the first half of 2020.

"I have what my mum left me and without that we would not have been able to do this.

"I think she saw it coming."

Talking about his father Prince Charles, Harry said: "There is a lot of hurt that has happened and I will continue to make it one of my priorities to try and heal that relationship."

He added of his brother: "I love William to bits. We have been through hell together but we are on different paths."
