After a quick break from Instagram, Rachel Lindsay is back! She deactivated her account about a week ago due to harassment she was receiving online. The hate toward Rachel is stemming from the Rachael Kirkconnell/Chris Harrison racism controversy. She recently posted a beautiful photo of sunflowers accompanied by an inspirational message.
“I want to be like a sunflower so that even on the darkest days I will stand tall and find the sunlight, 🌻🌻” she captioned the photo. Bachelor Nation was quick to send her positive messages, welcoming her back to the platform.

“You always do Rach! Love you and that beautiful, fiery spirit so incredibly much,” Becca Kufrin wrote. “Here for you. Glad you’re back ❤️” Ali Fedotowsky added. Pieper James commented, “Welcome back queen 👑 all love and positive energy ♥️.”
Last week, Rachel’s friend and cohost of their Higher Learning podcast Van Lathan, shared a video defending her against the people who are bombarding her with mean comments. “Rachel Lindsay disabled her Instagram earlier today,” he explained in an Instagram video. “She did it because that’s how much hate she’s getting from Bachelor fans who are spamming her with all kinds of rude and hateful things.”

Van also referenced the interview between Rachel and Chris, where he defended current contestant Rachael KirkConnell’s racist actions. “A 49-year-old man who can’t read the room in these present 2021 times,” he continued. “She’s not responsible for that. It’s not her job to make excuses or provide cover for someone who doesn’t understand what the f*ck triggers people in today’s world.”
Bachelor producers denounced the racist comments toward Rachel in a statement:
It’s good to have you back, Rach!
