Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman) and Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) are attempting to begin a pregnancy journey through IVF in EastEnders.
The decision was made after Reiss revealed that he wasn’t able to conceive naturally. At first, it looked as though the plan for IVF wasn’t going to go ahead because Sonia already has a child, which therefore decreases her chance of being offered the treatment through the NHS.
Reiss soon assured her that he had an account full of money that he’d forgotten about, and there was enough inside to pay for three or four rounds of treatment.

However, what he didn’t tell her was that the money actually belonged to his wife Debbie, who has been living under full-time care since suffering a stroke in the bath.
Coming up, Sonia is feeling nervous ahead of the IVF follow-up appointment and the results of her and Reiss’ tests.
The worry causes her to be snappy during a chat with Martin (James Bye) and later, she gets information on her and Reiss’ chances of the IVF being successful and a breakdown of all the costs.
Elsewhere, during a solo trip to the hospital, Reiss tells Debbie that he plans to spend her money on having IVF treatment with Sonia.
But will Sonia ever find out what’s going on?
