FORMER Real Housewives of New York star Jules Wainstein has been arrested for battery.
The 39-year-old was arrested by Boca Raton, Florida, police on Sunday afternoon, and she was booked and held in Palm Beach County’s main detention center at 3.50pm.
The Sun Online can confirm that Wainstein and her victim appeared in court on Monday February 24; her arraignment has been scheduled for March 16.
She remains in custody and a protective order has been issued.
"This is a serious situation reflecting Ms. Wainstein’s increasingly reckless behavior that unfortunately took place in front of the kids," her estranged husband Michael’s attorney, Morghan Richardson, told The Sun Online.
"The children were released to Michael’s custody yesterday and he is most concerned about protecting them. Michael is exploring all of his legal options at this time."
The ex-Bravo star was living with her parents in Florida until her divorce from Michael was finalised.
"Until my divorce is over, I’m temporarily living in Boca at my parents’, which actually happened to be a nice thing because unfortunately my father just recently passed away,” Wainstein said in 2019.
"So we got to spend the last year with him, which we wouldn’t have spent as much time if we were living in New York," she said on spin-off programme Life After Bravo.
"We’ll be there until things settle, and then hopefully we’ll move back soon."
The pair's bitter split saw Michael almost face jail time in 2017 over claims he refused to pay child support.
In 2017 he accused his former wife – who appeared on season eight of RHONY – of spending over $10,000 in support payments, instead of saving it for their children.
The pair are parents to son Jagger and daughter, Rio.
