Bethenny also addresses calling Dorinda Medley “a drunk” and takes an epic jab at Luann de Lesseps’ ex-husband, Tom D’Agostino.
Once BFFs, Bethenny Frankel and Carole Radziwill have seemingly gone their separate ways.
Bethenny said on a recent episode of "The Real Housewives of New York" that Carole "needs to have a best friend close," which many interpreted as jealousy over Carole’s budding friendship with Tinsley Mortimer. Carole responded to the statement during last week’s appearance on "Watch What Happens Live," telling Andy Cohen, "It’s not true. Everything Bethenny says about me is not true. That wasn’t the friendship that I was having with her at the time, so I was just as surprised as the audience was to hear all that."
"I think this audience would disagree with that because everything I say is always true," Bethenny told Andy during her appearance on "WWHL" Wednesday night.
Carole added that she was "a really good friend" to Bethenny and that she was shocked by the way she had been speaking about her during her "RHONY" show interviews.
"I haven’t really been talking about Carole that much in my interviews," Bethenny told Andy. "I said there was a shift, and there was. And when you come onto a show and you have so many people involved in it, it becomes bigger. And the thing is, I wanted it sort of to just dissolve, and it got more intense. And it gets more intense. And I think that the way you react to something is as important as the initial something. So we had a shift that I don’t think was that big of a deal."
A caller then asked Bethenny about a scene in which Bethenny calls Dorinda Medley "a drunk," which Dorinda recently compared to being as hurtful as someone saying Bethenny was "mentally unwell" following the death of her dog, Cookie.
"With the Cookie thing, I think that I probably — at that moment — was mentally unwell," Bethenny replied. "My dog of 18 years, who has been my life, died. She was seizing and I didn’t know what to do, so I probably was mentally unwell. And Dorinda, on the way to Puerto Rico, was a drunk. So if it quacks like a duck, it’s a duck!"
Bethenny also took an epic jab at Luann de Lessep’s ex-husband, Tom D’Agostino, after Andy said that New York City is so small, "everyone has to sleep with the same guys."
"I think you should do a very special episode of ‘Who Hasn’t F-cked Tom,’" Bethenny said.
"The Real Housewives of New York" airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
