The singer and actress shared a video with her fans of her undergoing the slightly painful treatment in order to look her best.
The 27-year-old posted a clip of her armpits being zapped with the laser light so that the hair won't grow back.
Rita laughed as the technician worked on her arms as she lay on the bed in a black crop top.
She wrote: "This is real. Lazer hair removal. No joke!"
As they worked on her legs, Rita had clearly gotten used to the sensation and quipped: "Burn hairs hurn!!!"
Rita's had a tough time over the past few days as the music industry mourned the death of Avicii, who died at the age of 28.
When the news of his death broke, Rita tweeted: "I have no words. I remember how amazing it was to make Lonely Together and it felt like just yesterday we were talking.
"Condolences to Avicii's family, friends, and the fans who supported him. May he rest in peace. Gone too soon. I’m devastated. Heartbroken."
Earlier today it was revealed that the Swedish DJ took his own life.
Hi family said he left a suicide note.
The troubled DJ, who was found dead at a resort in Oman, was a “fragile soul” who “could not go on any longer”, relatives said.
A poignant statement was released today after Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, took his own life at a resort in Muscat last Friday.
It read: "Our beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions.
"An over-achieving perfectionist who travelled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress.
"When he stopped touring, he wanted to find a balance in life to be happy and be able to do what he loved most – music. He really struggled with thoughts about Meaning, Life, Happiness. He could not go on any longer."
