Sally Metcalfe (Sally Dynevor) will feel a bit lost after learning Tim (Joe Duttine) and Aggie Bailey (Lorna Laidlaw) have been seeing each other in secret in Coronation Street.

Important to mention here that Tim and Aggie’s meetups haven’t exactly been an affair of the sexual kind, more an emotional one, as they’ve both found it easier to confide in each other rather than their respective partners.

On Friday, Tim and Sally head to the bistro and Ed (Trevor Michael Georges) kindly invites them to join him and Aggie at their table.

As Sally admires the necklace Tim bought Aggie, things are awkward.

Seeing that Aggie is puzzled by his and Sally’s flirtatious behaviour, Tim sends her a text – but is horrified to realise he sent it to Sally!

The following week, Sally is shocked to discover that Tim bought Aggie a necklace and admits to Aggie how hurt she is to think that Tim prefers her company, suggesting that in future she should focus on Ed and leave Tim alone.

After the chat with Sal, Aggie calls at the builder’s yard and apologises to Ed for keeping her friendship with Tim a secret, but will this be the end to the matter?
