Sam Thompson is apparently headed Down Under for a stint in the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! jungle.
The 31-year-old is no stranger to reality TV after finding fame on Made In Chelsea and then appearing on shows like Celebrity Big Brother and Celebs Go Dating. And according to The Sun, he is set to tackle something a little less glam by becoming one of this year’s campers.
He is said to be jetting off to sunny Australia soon, while his girlfriend Zara McDermott is strutting her stuff on the Strictly dancefloor. A source told the publication: “Sam is a great signing because he has a huge fan base and a funny, self-deprecating personality."

“It will be difficult if Zara is still on Strictly as she will be too busy to head out to the jungle to support him," the insider said. They added that it was a "huge year" for the couple.
I’m A Celebrity is expected to start within the next few weeks. A new trailer was released this week, showing hosts Ant and Dec preparing to welcome their ‘guests’ to a luxurious jungle retreat.
It teased that contestants would be able to “dream beneath the stars” as they enjoyed the “ultimate jungle experience” where they would “savour exotic cuisine unlike anything you’ve ever tasted before”. “Let us pamper you beyond your wildest expectations,” the voiceover said.
The rumour mill is cranking up when it comes to who is taking part and plenty of names are flying about, with This Morning star Josie Gibson and champion jockey Frankie Dettori thought to be among the campers. Olivia Attwood, who had to pull out of the show last year for medical reasons, is also thought to be a possible contestant.
Some people think Denise Van Outen might be a camper, particularly as she has previously said she wouldn’t mind doing it for her 50th, and she celebrated the milestone in May. And former prime minister Liz Truss has also been mentioned as a possible camper for the 2023 show.
Daily Star has contacted ITV for comment.
