Serial killer Stephen Reid's reign of terror ended in October, 2023, when ITV aired jaw-dropping death scenes for the villain as he was mowed over by Peter Barlow's car.
But aside from being one of Weatherfield's most ruthless criminals, Stephen was also a beloved son and a cherished uncle within his family.
His mother Audrey Roberts (portrayed by Sue Nicholls) continues to mourn for him next week, as she gathers up her son's belongings before showing them to Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), whom he was dating shortly before he passed away.
The hairdresser asks Jenny if she'd like to take anything to which the latter responds by asking for Stephen's laptop, explaining she used to borrow it from time to time.

Later on, when David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) suggests she should throw Stephen’s diary in the bin as she’ll find it upsetting, Audrey won’t hear of it, adamant that her son wasn’t all bad.
While Jenny logs on to Stephen's laptop to check for her list of suppliers, Audrey categorically refuses to bin the rest of Stephen’s things.
David, on the other hand, studies Stephen’s journal and is taken aback to discover that his mother Gail Platt (Helen Worth) was initially unsure who her daughter Sarah’s father was.
This prompts David to tell his sister Sarah (Tina O'Brien) everything about Gail's doubts after her birth, but how will she react to this long-kept secret?

Later on, Gail tells the family that she’s sick of all the in-fighting as Audrey needs their support and she wants them all to meet at 11.00am tomorrow morning to sort things out.
But who is Sarah's father and will the mystery ever be cleared up?

Underworld manager Sarah Platt was born on February 2, 1987, and her biological father was said to be Brian Tilsley who was stabbed to death when she had just turned two years old.
At the time, Brian was defending a woman from a group of thugs outside of a nightclub, right after Gail had called time on their romance, convinced they weren't suited.
Soon after Brian's death, Gail met Martin Platt, who ended up adopting Sarah and raising her as his own daughter.
But could there be another mystery man in Gail's life viewers have yet to be introduced to?
