Jada Lennox (Kelsey Calladine-Smith) agrees to grant Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) her Christmas wish in EastEnders, offering to bring Alyssa back to the Square for the festive season.
The teen fled Walford back in August, after Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) blackmailed her into keeping shtum about the events that led to Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) temporarily losing custody of baby Annie.
Janine had previously manipulated Jada into helping her to destroy love rival Linda, ordering her to plant bottles of alcohol in the house she shared with the landlady, before telephoning social services, who subsequently popped over to investigate the matter.
Baby Annie was caught up in all the commotion, as the social workers found bruises on her arms, and thus she was taken away from Linda, much to Jada’s horror.
Jada attempted to rectify her mistake, but Janine was having none of it, issuing her with a dark threat if she failed to keep shtum.
Jada, feeling guilty, confessed to Sharon that she called social services, but kept Janine’s name out of it. Before she could rectify her mistake, however, she left Walford with Alyssa – leaving both Linda and Sharon distraught.
With assistance from Mick (Danny Dyer), Linda successfully got baby Annie back. Sharon, meanwhile, has been struggling without her granddaughter, knowing little about where she is.
But she receives a huge shock in the coming weeks when Jada gets in touch, offering to bring Alyssa to her home for Christmas Day. Sharon is elated – but Linda is fuming, given what Jada did to her.
The landlady, however, can see how much it would mean to Sharon to spend time with her granddaughter and thus she resolves to make alternative arrangements for the holidays, making herself scarce.
The question is: will Jada return to the Square and right her wrongs, exposing Janine in the process?
Janine has everything she has ever wanted as she prepares to tie the knot with Mick, but will it all come crashing down as the truth about her scheming and lies is revealed?
