Sir Michael Palin suggests ‘someone could eat’ Nigel Farage in I’m A Celebrity
Sir Michael Palin touched on Nigel Farage’s appearance on this year’s series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!
On Sunday night, the GB News host made his jungle debut alongside the likes of Josie Gibson, Fred Sirieix and Danielle Harold.
However, BBC Breakfast presenter Jon Kay believes that actor Sir Michael Palin would make an ideal contestant on the ITV show.
Speaking to the 80-year-old on Tuesday’s instalment of BBC Breakfast, Jon questioned whether or not he’d ever consider taking part.
He asked: “I was watching I’m A Celebrity this week and I was thinking you would be perfect in the jungle with your travel experience, would you ever do that one?”

Michael replied: “You have to eat Nigel Farage, don’t you? Or something like that, I can’t remember the complicated rules.”
Laughing at his response, Jon quipped: “I don’t think that’s in the contract!”
Michael added: “I mean that would be good, I wouldn’t mind that someone could eat him.”
Looking into the camera, the 80-year-old apologised to the former politician as he commented: “I’m only joking you know, hope you’re doing well in the jungle there.”

Nigel has been getting stuck into jungle life since the ITV show started on Sunday night as he was one of the first people to tackle a Bushtucker Trial.
Alongside social media influencer Nella Rose, the 59-year-old took part in an eating challenge as the duo had to wolf down a series of disgusting dishes.
From pizzas topped with sheep udders, cow teats, animal penis’, wild boar anus and chicken feet, the pair got stuck in.
In the end, they managed to earn a respectful nine out of 10 stars as Nella refused to eat one dish.
Ahead of his jungle debut, Nigel said: “I am hoping to have some good times, a good laugh and I am sure I won’t get on with everybody.
“But, I just think it’s going to be an incredible experience doing I’m A Celebrity. I will give as good as I get!
“I hopefully can cheer people up when they are feeling down and muck in, too. But I do snore a bit.”
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! Continues weekdays on ITV from 9pm. BBC Breakfast continues weekdays on BBC One from 6am.
