SOAP fans were left confused and distressed with tonight's Coronation Street and EastEnders episodes changing air-time.
While Emmerdale still aired at its usual slot of 7pm, Coronation Street's 60-minute special meant that EastEnders has been pushed back to a later time.
Coronation Street will air for a full hour from half seven, while EastEnders will follow immediately after.
It's a change from the more common tactic of splitting a double-bill episode into two 30-minute installments, with EastEnders often airing in-between.
Soap fanatics flocked to social media to rant against the schedule change, but one viewer said the move meant "less channel hopping."
One put: "Why don't you just officially make the new time 8.30?"

Another ranted: "It seems to be on at 8.30pm lately."
A third commented: "Not a happy bunny for Good Friday as you're clashing with ITV programme. Sort your schedule please!"

EastEnders fans are hoping to see the return of Sean Slater in tonight's episode after recently getting a first-look at his dramatic entrance.
After a 10-year absence, Sean – played by actor Rob Kazinsky – is returning to fulfill mum Jean Slater's wish of a family reunion.
It comes after Jean's diagnosis of ovarian cancer – with a string of controversial storylines in Sean's Albert Square past, he is sure to spark a scandal with his return.
