Sophie Turner says her Game of Thrones tattoo DOESN'T spoil how season 8 ends

Warning! This article contains spoilers for the final season of Game of Thrones. Or does it? We don’t even know anymore.

Sophie Turner has been doing some impressive back-pedalling after fans started speculating her recent Game of Thrones tattoo gave away a huge season eight spoiler.

While appearing on a special UK edition of The Late Late Show with James Corden last night (June 21), Sophie explained that her new tattoo is just ‘a moral she likes to live by’.

Sure, Jan.

First tattoo back home! Thank you so much for getting this from me @sophiet ! 🐺 bad ass !

Describing the inking, Sophie told James: “It’s the Dire Wolf from Game of Thrones and it says, ‘The Pack Survives’.

“While I was getting it done people advised me not to because it looked like I was giving everything away. But I wasn’t,” she insisted. “It’s just a quote from last season but everyone figures that the pack really does survive, but it’s just a moral I like to live by.”

So, there you have it – saying the pack survives isn’t a spoiler after all. But wait! Surely that’s just a spoiler in itself, right? Is Sophie instead hinting that some of the pack doesn’t survive?

In slightly less confusing news, Sophie has recently teased what’s in store for her character Sansa Stark when Thrones returns for its final season next year.

Hinting at the real-world parallels in Sansa’s season eight storyline, Sophie recently compared it to the “#MeToo movement”.

“She endured so much horror and really was a prisoner season-by-season. She took all of that, and now she has become stronger for it,” she revealed.

Game of Thrones season 8 will premiere in 2019. The show airs on HBO in the US and Sky Atlantic and NOW TV in the UK. Season 7 is now available to buy on DVD, Blu-ray or digital download.

The Late Late Show with James Corden in London airs on Sky One and NOW TV tonight at 10pm.
