Spice Girls superfan Adele shares hilarious throwback picture to celebrate their tour announcement

Yesterday the group – minus Victoria Beckham – confirmed a six-date UK stadium tour next year as originally revealed by The Sun.

The news sparked excitement around the country and among their celebrity fans, with Adele, 30, one of the first to share her joy on social media.

The Hello singer has never made a secret of being a Spice Girls superfan, and her epic throwback merely cemented her claims.

In the snap, the future singer can be seen in her bedroom, sticking her tongue out as she sat in her pyjamas in front of a wall covered in posters of the girl band.

She wrote alongside it: "HA! This is how I feel right now! I AM READY".

Her post didn't go unnoticed, as Geri Horner – aka Ginger Spice – reposted the shot while Emma Bunton – also known as Baby Spice – shared it with her fans and added a series of love heart emojis.

Yesterday, Mel C, Mel B, Emma and Geri appeared in a minute-long clip to announce that tickets were going on sale from Saturday at 10.30am.

The tour begins on June 1 at Manchester's Etihad Stadium, then Coventry's Ricoh Stadium two days later, the Stadium of Light in Sunderland on June 6, BT Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on June 8, Bristol's Ashton Gate Stadium on June 10, and ends on June 15 at London's Wembley Stadium.

However the band will be performing as a four-piece after Victoria Beckham opted not to join the reunion, but did wish her bandmates well.

She wrote: "Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour.

"I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time!”

The group, who performed at the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony, hasn't toured together since their only other reunion, which ended in January 2008.

Yesterday The Sun revealed the first picture of the girl band back together again ahead of their tour announcement.
