In tragic scenes in upcoming EastEnders episodes, Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) writes out cards for her children’s future birthdays, in the knowledge that she might not be spending any birthdays with them for some time as she could be heading for prison.
Linda gets the news of her court date, and talks to Mick (Danny Dyer) about her fears that she could be going to prison. Mick is supportive, and comforts her again when she’s upset after having a row with Stuart (Ricky Champ).
Later, Mick and Linda share a bonding moment when they’re together to see baby Annie take her first steps. It’s a precious and poignant occasion for Linda, and she and Mick almost kiss as they’re swept up with the emotion of it – until Jada (Kelsey Calladine-Smith) happens to walk in.
With Linda confronting the fact that she might not have many days left as a free woman, she decides she wants to make the most of the time she has and suggests a Carnival party at the Vic. Mick is right behind the idea, and he makes Linda’s day by encouraging Ollie (Harry Farr) to have a sleepover with her, knowing that she wants to share every moment possible with her children.
Is Linda about to lose everything as she gets sent to jail? Or could there be further revelations ahead?
