Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota) finally pays a visit to his father Nish (Navin Chowdhry) in prison in upcoming EastEnders episodes.
The feared patriarch, who has been in prison for murder for 20 years, greets his son with affection, surprising Vinny. Nish reminisces about old times, but Vinny is uneasy, wanting to know the real reason his father wanted to see him. Does Nish have a secret agenda?
A spokesperson for EastEnders told us that, ‘On the surface, Nish is charming and charismatic, but we will soon see that underneath is ice-cold, manipulative, and driven by a need for power and respect.’

And what impact will his return have on Suki (Balvinder Sopal), who is already struggling under the weight of the guilt she feels because she believes she killed Ranveer (Anil Goutam).
‘Emerging from a 20-year stretch behind bars, Nish is determined to rule the roost and rekindle his marriage to Suki and his family,’ the show’s spokesperson said. ‘But will his family accept him back into the fold, or will they realise the man he really is?
‘One thing is for sure, Nish’s return spells trouble and not just for the Panesars…’
