Coronation Street’s Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King) has been dealt another frightening blow after she discovered that Geoff Metcalfe’s (Ian Bartholomew) ex-wife Elaine (Paula Wilcox) has disappeared.
Fearing that Geoff has killed her to stop her being a witness at her trial, Yasmeen was traumatised and Alya (Sair Khan) admitted that she couldn’t be sure he didn’t murder her – as he is capable of anything.
When Yasmeen then discovered that the police could do nothing, she was left stressed out and Alya ached as she said that it’s a good thing the trial is postponed because even if she is released, she will never be safe from Geoff.
As Alya tried to assure Yasmeen that Geoff will slip up, Yasmeen wouldn’t believe her and is certain that he will continue to evade justice – meaning she would rather stay in prison where he can’t hurt her.
Deciding that she needs to separate herself from Geoff, Alya then told Sally (Sally Dynevor) that she was going to buy him out of Speed Daal.
Sally argued against this, saying that this would mean Geoff has won and it would be playing into his hands – she then offered Alya the money that Geoff had given for the wedding as it was rightfully Yasmeen’s.
But as Alya prepares to take her offer to Geoff, how will he respond? It doesn’t seem like it will be as simple as that to get rid of him…
