Fans were furious about the judge's decision to send  the former Coronation Street star packing and took to Twitter to complain.

One Tweeted: "What a set of clowns those judges are…..has to be a joke. #Fix #Strictly2021 #BBCStrictly #strictly"

A second fumed: "Anton was the only judge to vote for @KatiexMcGlynn The Rest Of the Judges ought to be ashamed of themselves. #fix Katie was the better dancer who never made a mistake.#Strictly"

A third added: "No mistakes! Judi and the braces! Much more content in Katie and Gorka's dance. I like Judi but Katie was better.

"Love Strictly but have long thought the judges save their favourites and it makes me want to stop watching as I find myself thinking it's a fix."

A fourth chimedin: "What a fix by the judges tonight, wrong person kicked out! #Strictly."

Other fans were excited for Judi to stay.

One wrote: "Judi is great. Don’t think she. should be going home yet #Strictly.

"Well, I actually think Judi is a bit lucky there as that wasn't a great dance at all, but tbf she's maybe got more potential than Katie

I guess we'll see! #Strictly."

Judges Craig Revel Horwood and Motsi Mabuse chose to save Judi, while Anton Du Beke opted for Katie – however, head judge Shirley Ballas had the final say and saved Judi.

It was Katie's second week in the dance-off, after Nina Wadia got sent home after losing the dance-off to her last week.
