The Strictly Come Dancing romance has become an obligatory ingredient for the raciest family show on television year on year and, actually, the class of 2019 is no exception.
While in 2018 Seann Walsh, Joe Sugg and Stacey Dooley all ended up in controversial affairs or blossoming new romances, this year’s line-up appeared to have been keeping relationships strictly professional.
Emphasis on the appeared.
According to insiders there’s an unlikely new couple behind-the-scenes, though there’s no word on who the aforementioned lovebirds might be.
‘You wouldn’t put these two together. If people knew they had been quickstepping off to the bedroom, they would be stunned,’ a source told the Daily Star.
‘It seems there was an attraction early in the contest. They tried hard to resist it but couldn’t hold back.
‘They did a good job hiding it but gossip has started to spread.’
There have been marriages and babies to spawn from the BBC’s dancefloor. Rachel Riley and Pasha Kovalev are expecting their first child together imminently, with the Countdown presenter recently filming her last show before going on maternity leave.
Ben Cohen – who was married during his time on Strictly – and Kristina Rihanoff welcomed their first child in 2016.
On the other end of the spectrum, the biggest Strictly scandal to date came in 2018 when Sean(n) was pictured snogging Neil Jones’ wife Katya while his girlfriend Rebecca Humphries was at home waiting for him to come back and celebrate her birthday.
Joe and Stacey, however, are still both enjoying their new relationships with Dianne Buswell and Kevin Clifton respectively.
