Strictly Come Dancing star sparks concern as she suffers painful injury just days before launch show | The Sun

STRICTLY Come Dancing star Nikita Kanda revealed her painful injury just days before the show's launch.

The Asian Network's Breakfast Show host, 28, will be waltzing onto the dance-floor later this month, but has already suffered a sore-looking bump on the leg.

The star shared a photo of her lying on the floor, with a cold ice pack applied to the area.

Nikita captioned it: "Typical clumsy me, already walked into a table and bruised my leg before I've even danced ffs."

Meanwhile, fans are convinced that they've "worked out" who BBC radio star Nikita has been partnered with – and it has a great ring to it.

Strictly megafans have shared their predictions on social media, saying they are desperate for Nikita to be paired with professional ballroom dancer Nikita Kuzmin, 25.

Speaking on her radio show today, Nikita said: "I've got butterflies in my stomach right now. I'm literally like a kid at Christmas. It feels like Christmas Day. This moment is like a dream come true."

The bubbly radio star took over the Breakfast Show in January, two years after joining the Asian Network.

Speaking at the time, she said: ”It’s the only job that I have ever jumped out of bed at 4am for because I love radio. Every day is different – you never know what you’re going to get.

“Over the last few months, the listeners have become my best friends. I don’t know what I would do without them as they provide the endless daily laughs and banter and are the main focus of the show.

"I can’t wait to get stuck in to more ‘Kanda Chaos’ as my producers like to call it. Just make sure to join in for this crazy ride, I promise you it will be a lot of FUN!”
