Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Leach has sparked new romance rumours with her professional dance partner Vito Coppola after they shared an affectionate kiss at the end of their dance routine.

Ellie and Vito delighted audiences with a mesmerising Paso Doble to Insomnia by Faithless which scored them 37 points. At the end of their jaw-dropping performance, the couple passionately looked each other in the eye before Vito put his hands on Ellie's face and kissed her on the cheek.

Fans quickly took to X, formally known as Twitter, to point out their chemistry and speculate that they are more than dance partners.

One fan penned: “I've been saying for WEEKS that ellie and vito are together and i was right!!!”, while another said: “ llie and Vito absolutely smashed it this week! There was definitely *something* happening though [eyes emoji]."

A third added: “I love Ellie & Vito so much! I hope the rumours that they’re dating are true because the way they look at each other & Vito always kissing her is SO DAMN CUTE! I hope it’s true! They deserved another 10 though!”

Another said: “Ellie and Vito just wow passionate,strong and serious and their connection and chemistry is fire absolutely loved it”.

“I'm loving watching Ellie and Vito perform each Saturday and blasting it out of the park each time. It's fantastic to see how much Ellie is blossoming. My couple to watch this year. Their Paso was fantastic!” another added.

There was even adorable chemistry between the pair later in the evening too, when a delighted Ellie celebrated her first 10 of the series by accidentally smacking her partner in the face!

In hilarious scenes a horrified Ellie could be seen quickly checking Vito was OK, as the smiling dancer teased her before saying he was fine.

The small faux pas had come just moments after Ellie had revealed she’d accidentally stepped on Vito's toes several times during rehearsals, with the couple clearly showing a great deal of concern for each other.

This isn't the first time that the duo have sparked romance rumours as they made a cosy appearance on IT’s This Morning earlier in the month.

The pair certainly looked very comfortable in each other's company as Vito wrapped a close arm around 22 year old Ellie's shoulder on the This Morning sofa – even appearing to give her arm a comforting stroke.
