Strictly's Dan Walker tells troll 'don't shout at me' as he survives yet another week

STRICTLY'S Dan Walker told fans "don't shout at me" after surviving another week in the competition.

It comes after Sara Davies was kicked off the BBC One show last night.

The presenter was brutally awarded just four points by Craig Revel Horwood on Saturday night for his rendition of the American Smooth.

So viewers have been scratching their heads over the fact that Dan and dance partner Nadiya Bychkova narrowly dodged the dance off yet again.

Dan decided to take to Twitter to stand up for himself.

He told his 729.4k followers: "Please don’t shout at me.

"I’m having an amazing time, my kids are delighted & it’s only a TV show! For those asking, I don’t know who is voting for us (probably not Craig) but we’re incredibly thankful to everyone who is.

"See you next week. Can’t wait."

Fans replied to his tweet to share their support.

One said: "Seriously, people need to get a grip, it’s a TV show, not life or death. Wait until a real trial hits their lives, then they will see how silly they sound. You’ve become a great dancer & look a million dollars in the outfits. Who’s voting for Dan? ME. EVERY. WEEK."

Another tweeted: "Not ashamed to say I’m responsible for a lot of the votes @mrdanwalker I mean what’s 15p a call anyway. You are exactly what Strictly is about, inspiring and joyful and I’m all for it."

A third chimed in: "We're all are voting for you in our family! You had no dance training before unlike others and are really getting to grips with it!"

Dan returned to social media an hour later to send his love Sara and her dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec.

The TV star wrote: "Sad to see @SaraDaviesCC & @AljazSkorjanec go.

"Sara has been brilliant & I loved their Argentine tango. It’s been great to get to know her & our Friday nights and Saturday breakfasts will be sorely missed.

"She has time for everyone & is a real star who cares for all around her."

On Sunday evening Sara fought back tears as she was kicked off after a brutal dance-off with Tilly Ramsay.

The Dragons' Den star and Gordon Ramsay's daughter were in danger of leaving the show once and for all after failing to get the votes from viewers.

After a tense dance-off, it was Tilly who got the support from the judges – leaving Sara to be shown the door.

Speaking with host Tess Daly after being voted off, Sara said: "I had no idea any of this was in me.

"It's been a life-changing experience and one I've loved every second of."

Sara also said of her dance partner Aljaz: "He's one in a million. He knows it, I tell him every day.

"This wouldn't have been the experience it was unless it had been with you."

The comment moved Aljaz to tears as he wiped his eyes before having his final dance with Sara.

Many fans were unhappy about the judges' results last night – with some accusing the show of being a fix after AJ Odudu ended up on the bottom of the leaderboard.

The TV presenter’s Paso Doble with partner Kai Widdrington left the judges feeling cold.

One fumed: “This is actually a joke that dan is getting bigged up more than AJ, what an absolute fix #Strictly.”
