The BBC News presenter also treated fans to a sneak peek of her and Aljaž Škorjanec's rumba – which they will perform on Saturday night.
Speaking on This Morning, Kate, 48, told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford: "All these muscles that have been lying dormant for so long have suddenly come back – I'm getting abs again and everything."
She added: "I had to be remeasured and I have gone down two dress sizes – I am literally beside myself."
The star also admitted that Aljaž is a tough professional dance partner, telling the hosts that he won't let her leave rehearsals for lunch.
Despite that, Kate said that she is "addicted" to learning new routines for Strictly as she is loving her time on the BBC One dance show.
In fact, she and Aljaž were even talked into offering viewers a glimpse of their upcoming Halloween routine.
The pair are dancing the rumba – with Kate having to learn the entire dance from scratch on Monday morning.
Getting up to show off one of the "slinky" moves, Kate impressed the hosts and Aljaž.
The pro joked that she'd earned time off training with the expert move as he exclaimed: "That was lovely, that was amazing.
"She just cancelled our training, that's how good that was."
Previously, Kate teased that her improved fitness has benefitted her sex life with her husband, Mike Heron.
Speaking to The Mirror earlier this month, the mum-of-two quipped: "I think I’ve lost a stone already, it’s the Alijaz school of weight loss.
"And my husband is very happy about that… nudge nudge.
"I feel liberated too! I was looking at my thighs today and I’m getting so much definition."
She continued: "This show helps you be the best version of yourself very quickly, the body confidence, everything, I’m all the better for it."
