Strictly's Rose dedicates loving post to ‘most wonderful human' Giovanni

Strictly Come Dancing 2021 winner Rose Ayling-Ellis has paid tribute to the ‘most wonderful human ever’ Giovanni Pernice after being crowned champion on Saturday.

The actress found time during her celebrations to post an emotional message after taking home the Glitter Ball trophy, and the adorable messages keep on coming.

The spectacular final saw Rose and Giovanni face off against John Whaite and Johannes Radebe, and the EastEnders star could not be happier with her partner.

Taking to Instagram, Rose wrote: ‘I’m dedicating this post to the most wonderful human ever, Giovanni. The person who was there everyday with me for four months, who knows truly what this journey has been for me, the reason why I have become confident within myself.’

She added: ‘He came into my world and brought the best out of me. I cannot thank him enough for all the work and effort to make me become the dancer that I am today. Winning the Glitterball is the best gift I could ever give to Giovanni because he really deserves it.’

Giovanni replied to her in the comments on Instagram, writing: ‘And here I (cry emoji) again !!! I told you so many times!!’

Dan Walker also shared a moving behind the scenes picture of Rose celebrating with her mum after taking home the trophy.

He posted a picture showing Rose clutching the trophy and giving her mum, Donna, a big hug.

Dan sent his congratulations, captioning the image: ‘Of all the photos from last night… this might be my favourite.

‘Rose’s mum knows how hard she has worked, how many barriers she has had to run through, how many times she has been told “no” and how much all this means.’
