Strictly Come Dancing star Zara McDermott has shown fans her gruesome foot injury and said half her toe "has come off".

The 26-year-old beauty took to the stage on Saturday night (September 23) as she performed alongside her dance partner Graziano Di Prima in the first BBC live show of 2023. But now that the competition is finally underway, it looks like Zara has been pushing herself even harder as she flaunted another painful injury.

Heading over to her Instagram stories, Zara shared a video where she filmed the back of her foot and what appeared to be a cut on the back of her big toe. She captioned the clip: "I put this on my close friends but tbh I think the world needs to see this.

"Half of my toe has come off tbh." The reality star also spoke about her wound and laughed: "Just for my close friends I just have to let you know that half of my toe has come off.

This isn't the first tear that Zara has had on her foot from training. Last week, in a similar fashion, Zara headed over to her Instagram stories to show fans the blister on the back of her ankle.

The former Love Island star also revealed that Graziano made her wear men's shoes in rehearsals. But admitted that it caused immense pain to her feet.

She told The Sun: "I told him, ‘It’s not working, I need to take them off’ and he said, ‘No, no you’re fine’. I said honestly it’s hurting and I took them off and my feet were bleeding.

"I was like, ‘I told you I am not being dramatic!’ My feet are feeling better this week, I feel like they’re getting harder now."

The news comes after fans were left confused by the way Zara was introduced on Strictly's live show on Saturday night. The blonde beauty who rose to fame on Love Island, later made appearances on Made In Chelsa with boyfriend Sam Thompson.

She then, she went on to front a BBC documentary on revenge porn and has since presented two more documentaries for the broadcaster. She also has another project in the works.

But for those who know the star for her reality TV appearances were baffled when she was introduced as a "documentary maker". Heading over to X, formerly known as Twitter, one viewer said: Documentary maker Zara McDermott??? She’s a former love islander x."

While fans shared a similar sentiment. They echoed: "Zara McDermott talking about her 'documentary making world' when everyone just remembers her for squeezing the tears out on the park bench with Sam Thompson."
