Motsi Mabuse on this year’s Strictly cast
Tess Daly left Strictly Come Dancing fans distracted with her choice of attire on Saturday evening, with some thinking she looked like she was wearing “bin bags”.
Tess donned a pair of baggy black PVC trousers, a black tie and a crisp white shirt for the launch show.
Her co-host Claudia Winkleman was also dressed in monochrome, wearing a black and white blouse paired with black trousers.
Both women wore their hair down and had smokey eye make-up, nude nails and neutral lips.
Taking to Twitter to comment on Tess’ look, Kim Pringle shared: “Tess looks like she’s wearing a couple of bin bags #Strictly.”

Joshie quipped: “Thanks Tess, just reminded me I need to buy some bin bags #Strictly.”
However, other viewers were kinder, with another user writing: “Good gosh @TessDaly is gorgeous #Strictly.”

When asked about returning to the show, Claudia said: “Just being part of this show is a total joy. I know this might sound revolting but it is a family and we can’t wait to all be back together.”
She added: “I so look forward to the Argentine tango. It never
comes up early but the moment I get a whiff of it or someone mentions it, I start making sort of weird clicky noises with my tongue and I can’t wait to watch.”
Meanwhile, Tess shared: “I always look forward to all of our specials; musicals, movies, and Halloween. The hair, make up and costume team surpass themselves each time.
“And of course Blackpool is a real milestone, not just for the celebrities, but for us too. It’s a real highlight in the series and the whole team decamps up north.”
Tess and Claudia have been co-presenting Strictly Come Dancing together since 2014.
However, Tess has been hosting the show since its inception in 2004. She used to present it with the late Bruce Forsyth.
Bruce died of bronchial pneumonia in 2017 aged 89 years old.
Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday on BBC One.
