Filming for The Bachelorette was halted due to ongoing health and safety issues. While this is sad news for fans of the show, Warner Bros., which produces all Bachelor spinoffs, decided this would be the best move to ensure the production staff, Clare Crawley, and all the contestants are safe.
This afternoon, hours before filming for The Bachelorette was supposed to begin, a spokesperson for Warner Bros. said:
TMZ suggested production may start up again on Sunday and Reality Steve tweeted it could be cancelled altogether if coronavirus continues to pose a threat, but Warner Bros. didn’t provide any specific details about when Clare will start to hand out the first roses.
The “Bachelorette” is set to begin filming tonight. As some1 who covers the show & whose income basically rests on this show being on air, w/ the current state we’re in as a country and as much as it would affect my business, I don’t see how this show can start filming tonight.
The Bachelorette was set to premiere on Monday, May 18, but it’s currently unclear if that date will have to be pushed back because of this delay. Basically, everything is up in the air at the moment but Warner Bros. seems committed to making sure everyone is healthy.
