The Traitors star Maddy Smedley has given birth to a baby girl.

The reality TV star announced her little one's arrival with some gorgeous pictures, as she also revealed her sweet name.

Maddy and partner Tom Greenwood have called their little girl, Shelby Rae.

Sharing a series of snaps of her cuddling her newborn in hospital, new mum Maddy wrote: "Welcome to the world Shelby Rae, love you so much already."

In another sweet look at her baby girl, Maddy captioned a video: "Shelby Rae our little girl – feel so lucky – 23.09.23 – 6lb 3."

Messages of congratulations soon came in, with Coronation Street's Alexandra Mardell writing: "Maddy! So so chuffed for you all! So beautiful! Can’t wait to meet her! All the love to you three."

Maddy announced the news of her pregnancy back in May as she shared a sweet montage of pictures, showing the beaming couple as they held up their baby scan ultrasound snaps.

Playing Megan McKenna's 'This' over the video, it also featured an emotional clip of Maddy sharing the news with her mum – recording the moment as she handed her an envelope with the ultrasound inside.

Sharing the video, the then mother-to-be penned: "Telling my mum and sisters. we can’t wait to meet you! Love you so much already."

While she also noted their joy with an Instagram Story post, sweetly writing: "Got some news! Wanna scream it from the rooftops! We can't wait to meet you, love you so much already xx".

Maddy took part in the first ever UK series of The Traitors in 2022, which saw 22 strangers living in a Scottish castle to complete a series of challenges and missions together as a team and win £120,000. Amongst the loyal contestants are three secret traitors who are sabotaging their efforts and picking off contestants one by one.

She managed to make it far during her stint on the show, being booted out of the castle just one day before the final, despite being a Faithful.
