The Voice judges sing Stairway to Heaven

The Voice UK was hit by the same complaint from viewers as the show returned for a new series on Saturday night.

Sir Tom Jones, Olly Murs, Anne-Marie, and Will.i.am were back in the big red swiveling chairs for the seventh series of the ITV talent show. 

To open the ITV series, all four judges sang their own rendition of Stairway to Heaven by rock band Led Zeppelin.

But it didn’t go down well with some fans who were unimpressed and wasted no time in taking to social media to share their views.

Taking to X (Twitter), @Mark_Jacko1878 wrote: “#TheVoice has just massacred Stairway to Heaven…….they should all be flogged.”

Another added: “Possibly the most bizarre rendition of Stairway to Heaven ever. #TheVoice.”
