Tipping Point viewers praised ITV bosses on Wednesday afternoon (September 13) for welcoming the first ever deaf contestant onto the show.
Host Ben Shephard welcomed contestants Martine, Stewart and Tom to the popular gameshow as the trip battled it out to win a cash prize.
After the players introduced themselves to fans at home, host Ben made an announcement, saying: “Martine, it’s worth mentioning to our viewers at home that you are deaf, so joining us in the studio is sign language instructor Liam.”

Liam was seen standing next to Ben at his hosting podium as she translated Ben’s every word to Martine, ensuring she could compete alongside the others.
Fans were delighted to see someone with a disability welcome on the show.
“Wow. We’ve had visually impaired contestants on the show, and today, we’ve got a hearing impaired contestant.
“I’m loving how accessible the show is for everyone. I think that deserves a round of applause, don’t you think?” gushed one fan.
“#TippingPoint is very good at making the game accessible to all players,” penned a second, while a third added: “Ooh, a deaf contestant. That's a new one. Let’s go, Martine!!”
Unfortunately, despite a good effort, Martine didn’t have much luck in the machine and was the first player booted off.
The show was praised back in 2021 for welcoming the first ever visually impaired person to the show.
Ben said at the time: "Now Abigale you are visually impaired so in order to help you play today your friend Elaine is backstage and she is watching everything that is going on.

"She'll be able to advise you via an ear piece as where and when is the best place and time to play your counters.
"She won't be able to give you any help with the questions unfortunately, as much as that would be lovely, and our independent adjudicator is sat with her but she will be assisting you on how things are looking in the machine."
Viewers rushed to their keyboards to compliment show bosses for being so accommodating for the contestant.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Ah wow, that’s so amazing of Tipping Point to be so accommodating to Abigale! I’ve never seen that on a game show before! Well done ITV."
Another posted: "Loving the inclusivity on today’s episode! Well done Tipping Point."
Tipping Point airs weekdays on ITV1 and ITVX at 4pm
