Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae clash over how to bring up their daughter on At Home With The Furys | The Sun

TOMMY Fury and his fiancée Molly-Mae Hague have clashed after the boxer said he doesn't want their daughter Bambi to go to school.

Molly, 24, revealed Tommy's thoughts on Bambi's education during Netflix's brand new series At Home With The Furys.

The former Love Island star explained to the cameras that Tommy, also 24, had discussed the option of Bambi not going school because he is a Traveller.

Tommy also made it clear that he intends to raise their daughter in the Traveller way he was brought up, with family being "number one".

Traditionally, Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller children leave school after primary in order to learn 'traditional' skills. For boys, these can include bricklaying and tree-cutting, while girls will be taught homemaking.

But some fans were still left shocked by Tommy's revelation.

"Molly was thoughtful about the different cultures but basically said yeah no our kid is going to school."

Another replied: "He didn’t want his kids to go to school?!"

And a third said: "Jeez. Some traveller kids go to school. I’m surprised that he has taken such a stance.

"I was under the impression that although he’s from a Traveller background that he didn’t live by their rules."

Others were also quick to discuss how Molly and Tommy will navigate other areas of life while raising Bambi because of their different backgrounds.

"I've been really curious as to how she would adjust to traveller culture," one person wrote. "I'm not a traveller but from an area in Ireland with a large traveller population and it always struck me that she really had no idea what she was getting in to.

They added: "I say that with no judgement by the way, I have great respect for the travelling community. I always just figured she would be completely unaware of their customs and how important they are even in 2023!"

At Home With The Furys has been described by Netflix as a 'docusoap' and follows the lives of heavyweight boxing champ Tyson Fury, his wife Paris and their kids.

Tommy and his fiancée Molly-Mae feature occasionally in the show, as he is Tyson's half brother.

During the first episode, Molly remarked about being of a different race to Tommy.

She said: "In the Fury family, I am the only non-Traveller wife at the minute, so to speak."

The couple went on to discuss their differences further in the second episode, which was filmed when Molly was pregnant with Bambi.

Molly was seen remarking that their unborn child will only have 'one quarter' Traveller blood.

Tommy explained to the camera: "Growing up the way I've grown up, I've got my morals and live my life a certain way.

"I feel like when our little girl comes along, she'll most definitely be brought up the way I've been brought up. The old fashioned way. The right way."

He was seen telling Molly: "I want our daughter to be around other children and be very family orientated. I feel like family is number one and it's important that she knows that."

Molly then revealed to the camera: "With Tommy obviously being Traveller, he has had conversations with me about our child not going to school to school, which is absolutely non optional.

"I've been raised completely differently to that. It would never be a question that our children or our child would not go to school.

"That hopefully won't cause too many rifts."
