Kelly Neelan (Millie Gibson) and Aadi Alahan (Adam Hussain) are engaged in Coronation Street!

For real, this time.

The teens have spent this week involved in a Weatherfield Gazette competition, which saw them pretend to be engaged in order to take part and win a posh holiday.

The Mr & Mrs Quiz began in tonight’s episode but unfortunately, Kelly and Aadi didn’t do very well.

At home, Aadi announced to a proud Dev (Jimmi Harkishin) that he had passed his driving test and was thrilled to discover his dad had bought him a car.

Preparing for his first drive on a professional licence, Aadi’s good mood was interrupted by Asha (Tanisha Gorey), who had already spotted Kelly wearing their mum’s ring.

Aadi assured his sister that he’s not really engaged, they’re just pretending, but who was overhearing the entire conversation? Kelly – obviously.

With her feelings towards Aadi growing, Kelly was hurt and stole his car key, hopped in the driver’s side and sped down the road.

Desperate to find Kelly, Aadi went into the yard for his bike, only to discover the tyres were flat.

Finding the situation all to humorous, Asha laughed as Aadi put on his helmet and jumped on her small princess bike.

When Aadi found Kelly, the car had crashed into a bollard but fortunately, she wasn’t hurt.

Back home, after making up, Aadi told Kelly that he loves her with all his heart, got down on one knee, and proposed!

Of course, Kelly said yes, and the young couple were overjoyed.

As wedding preparation gets underway, it begs the question of just what will Aadi and Kelly’s families make of this proposal?
