Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway will be away from the show for a second week after her husband Derek Draper's health took a bad turn.
Garraway is the presenter of Mid Mornings with Kate Garraway on Smooth Radio and both newsreader, and co-anchor of the ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain.
The television and radio host has decided to extend her absence from both shows to be with her partner who is still in hospital.
The pair have been married for 16 years.
But what actually happened to Kates husband Derek Draper?

In 2020, during the first wave of the pandemic, Derek became seriously ill after contracting Covid and was subsequently placed into a medically induced coma.
He suffered several health complications despite beating the virus, suffering with clots in his lungs, and a diagnosis of diabetes.
Having been hospitalised for more than a year battling with the long-term effects of Covid, Draper was eventually released from hospital and returned home to Kate and their two children Darcey, 16, and Billy, 12.
However, life at home remained difficult as Derek required 24-hour care.
In the past, Kate has been very open around her husband's treatment, and how often he is forced back to hospital.
On one visit, the GMB presenter posted on social media and said: "So Derek has been in and out of hospital a lot recently. Hopefully the wonderful health teams will help him improve but I woke up early feeling exhausted & very fretful."
Earlier this month Derek once again returned to hospital and on July 20 it was revealed that Derek was in serious condition.
Derek Draper health latest
Last week, GMB presenters Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins addressed the situation on air and sent well wishes to Kate and Derek.
Ben said: "We are missing a member of the team, aren’t we."
Charlotte responded: "We are yes, yes. So Kate’s not here. She’s taking some time out to be with Derek at the moment so we’re sending her lots of love."
An ITV spokesman said that while Kate is taking time off to support and be with her husband, she is "hoping to be back to her normal presenting duties as soon as possible".
No official update has been given on Derek's health, other than the extension of Kate's time off-air to be with him.
