Bill Wyman, 85, was born William George Perks Jr on October 24, 1936.
He found fame when he joined the Rolling Stones as their bassist.
In his autobiography Stone Alone, he claims he wrote the riff to the band’s hit Jumpin’ Jack Flash.
Wyman is also an author and a keen photographer.
When did Bill Wyman quit the Rolling Stones?
In 1992 Wyman shocked the world when he said he was quitting the band.
His announcement was greeted with disbelief at the time given he had been part of the original line up.

Wyman married his first wife, Diane Cory in 1959 and their son Stephen Paul Wyman was born on 29 March 1962.
They separated in 1967 and divorced in 1969.
He then controversially married Mandy Smith on June 2, 1989 when he was aged 52 and she was 18.
The two started seeing one another when she was 13 and he was 47.
The pair separated just two years after they were married and divorced after another two years.
Wyman married Suzanne Accosta in April 1993; they have three daughters.
