Who is Simon Bird?

Born 19 August 1984, Simon Anthony Bird is an English actor and comedian.

The 33-year-old studied at Queen's College in Cambridge University where he became president of the prestigious Footlights theatre group and met future co-star Joe Thomas.

Simon is best known for playing sarcastic but lovable geek Will McKenzie in The Inbetweeners series.

Will and his co-stars waved goodbye to the series in 2014 after two smash-hit feature films but last year, Joe Thomas hinted the gang could reunite in the future that show's how they survive as grown adults.

The actor also found great success as Adam Goodman in Channel 4 comedy Friday Night Dinner.

Who is Simon Bird's wife Lisa Owens and do they have children?

Although his character Will was often famed for being unlucky in love, Simon has had no such issues, marrying long-term girlfriend Lisa Owens in 2012.

The two met while performing in a comedy sketch together at Cambridge University and he proposed during a romantic trip to France in 2011.

They have one son together who was born in 2016.

Simon is the second of his Inbetweeners co-stars to become a dad after James Buckley became a father-of-two with model wife Clair Meek.

What is Friday Night Dinner and when is it on Channel 4?

Friday Night Dinner starts at 10pm on Friday, May 4, 2018.

The hit comedy show is returning for its fifth season and you can currently watch series one to four on 4 Catch Up.

The series follows two brothers Adam and Jonny, who share their Friday night dinners at their parents home and, somehow, something always goes wrong.

The show is focused on the regular dinner experience of a British Jewish family on each Friday night.
