AFTER filing for divorce from rocker Eddie Van Halen, Valerie Bertinelli tied the knot with Tom Vitale.
Despite the picture-perfect romance, in November 2021, their relationship made headlines after the actress filed for legal separation, and now she is seeking a divorce after a decade of marriage.
Who is Valerie Bertinelli's husband Tom Vitale?
Tom Vitale is an American-born financial planner, TV producer, internet personality, and entrepreneur.
In 2011, Bertinelli and Vitale famously launched the e-commerce company Veebo alongside Ed Loew, however, the company reportedly closed in 2018.
He has also worked as a producer and co-producer in many films.

Vitale proposed to the actress in March 2010 in Italy, and the lovebirds then got married on January 1, 2011, in their Malibu home.
The wedding ceremony was graced by more than a hundred guests including Bertinelli’s ex-husband, Eddie Van Halen.

According to Today, she filed the paperwork on May 12 at the Los Angeles Superior Court of California and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split.
The outlet later went on to note that the soon-to-be exes have actually been separated since December 2019, and there is a prenuptial agreement that “is in full force and effect and fully binding on the parties.”
As the news started to spread, many fans became worried about Bertinelli but the Hot In Cleveland alum took to social media to put them at ease.
“I’m just having a very bad day,” she said in an Instagram video.
“But you know what? Sometimes we have bad days and then we get over them. And then there’s a good day. So, I’m looking forward to the good day.”
At this time, Vitale has not addressed the divorce.
Do Tom and Valerie have children together?
Despite being together for over a decade, Bertinelli and Vitale never had any children together.
Bertinelli's only child is from her previous marriage to Van Halen.
Wolfgang Van Halen, 31, was born in Santa Monica, California, in 1991.
In 2020, Bertinelli and her son were the first to confirm the news of Van Halen's tragic passing in a tribute on Instagram.
He had passed away at the age of 65 following a battle with throat cancer.
Despite the divorce, Bertinelli was on good terms with her ex and she even attended his wedding to second wife Janie Liszewski.

Just a few weeks after Van Halen's death, Bertinelli started writing her book Enough Already: Learning to Love the Way I Am Today, which is based on her path to self-acceptance
The actress recounts her obsession with her size throughout the collection of articles detailing her self-doubt, relationship with Van Halen, and the problems affecting her second marriage.
Enough Already was also a vehicle through which Bertinelli was able to channel her grief following the death of Van Halen.
"I wasn't expecting to write a book about grief when I started it, but I was in the thick of it," she said, via USA Today. "It actually ended up being very cathartic to write about it."
"I can't make people understand this, because it's so personal, but I've never felt love like that," she continued.
"Even through all of the horrible stuff that we did to each other, there were so many more good things.

"I just don't feel like I've ever been loved like that, in that way, from anybody else. I just feel a connection with Ed that I've never really felt with anyone else," Bertinelli added.
